Where he teaches
Seminars and master classes have been held in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Sochi, Sevastopol, Minsk and Kiev, with international sessions in The Hague and Spain.
Somewhere along the way, photography became a more convenient way of self-expression than drawing or painting. What began as a childhood fascination with cameras and light gradually grew into a serious artistic practice, shaped by years of drawing, painting and careful observation of the world around him. The transition was never a rejection of the earlier mediums, but rather an expansion of the same curiosity that first made him want to capture a moment. Today the camera sits alongside the brush as an equal tool, and the work that follows carries a distinctly handmade quality even when produced with digital equipment.
The path to that practice was not entirely straight. Formal education in architecture and design supplied a strong foundation in composition, structure and visual balance, and those influences remain visible in how photographs are framed and organized. Early enthusiasm was met with practical reality: a first camera purchase that cost a great deal of money and was remembered fondly, along with the small successes of photographing, scoring and shooting images that felt truly his own. Mentors, teachers and fellow photographers helped shape an artistic mind that still values learning over shortcuts.
Workshops and master classes grew naturally from that background. The author now travels across Russia, the CIS countries and beyond, teaching seminars that combine technical instruction with an emphasis on seeing, storytelling and developing a personal artistic voice. Sessions have taken place in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Sochi, Sevastopol, Minsk and Kiev, with international work in The Hague and Spain. For organizers who wish to host a session or build a longer collaboration, the door is open, and the format adapts to the group and the location.
The broader portfolio of the site reflects the same unhurried, artisanal sensibility. Portraits, street scenes and quiet interiors are presented in a calm layout with generous space, soft earthy tones and clean sans-serif typography, letting the images carry the weight rather than decoration. Beyond the gallery there are tutorials, articles, social networks and a shop, offering ways to engage with the process at different levels. For anyone beginning to photograph seriously, or for those refining an established practice, the invitation is simple: start, keep learning, and let curiosity set the direction.
